Rachel Ward
I am a qualified counsellor and Child & Family Practitioner with experience working in the not-for-profit mental health sector, as well as with NDIS clients. I have a diverse background, having also worked for over 20 years in education as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Head of Student Wellbeing.
I have a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents and parents, as well as helping individuals reach personal wellbeing goals.

My personal background as an elite athlete gives me great insight and understanding into the pressures of athletes through high school and in adulthood. I enjoy helping both young people and adults navigate through the specific challenges they face as athletes.

I use a mix of counselling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring sessions to the unique individual and their needs so that each person has the best chance of achieving their goals.
